Kenya forgets.
We remember.
RECEIPTS is an accountability platform built for Kenya. We track what happens after the headline — government promises, court cases, corruption scandals, infrastructure projects, and public interest stories.
The problem
Kenya has no shortage of major news stories. But the news cycle moves fast. A corruption scandal dominates for a week, then disappears. A court case drags on for years with no follow-up. A government promise is made with fanfare — and quietly abandoned. Society forgets. Accountability dies in the silence.
What we do
We turn stories into structured timelines. Every update is sourced. Every claim has evidence. We follow stories until they are resolved — or until we can establish that they have been abandoned. We do not replace journalism. We organize it.
Our principles
Evidence, not opinion. Every update on RECEIPTS must be sourced — news reports, official statements, court documents, government records. We do not speculate. We do not editorialize. We document.
Who we are
RECEIPTS is built by Kenyans who believe public memory is infrastructure. We are civic technologists, journalists, and designers committed to making accountability accessible to every Kenyan.
